Twenty-three aspiring journalists have been shortlisted in the third Journalism Diversity Fund round of 2020, which marks the 15th anniversary of the fund.

Five panels of industry figures will interview the shortlisted candidates remotely on Thursday, 20 and Friday, 21 August.

Bursaries are awarded to those who have a passion for journalism, financial need and can demonstrate how they will bring diversity to a newsroom.

Bursaries can help cover the costs of NCTJ course fees and/or travel and living expenses while studying.

Applications in the fourth and final round are now open until Wednesday, 4 November.
