Twelve aspiring journalists have been shortlisted in the fourth and final round of the 2018 Journalism Diversity Fund, which could help pay for the cost of their NCTJ-accredited journalism training.

Two panels of senior industry figures will interview the shortlisted candidates at the BBC in London on Friday, 7 December.

Bursaries are awarded to those who have a passion for journalism, financial need and can demonstrate how they will bring diversity to the newsroom.

Bursaries can cover NCTJ course fees and/or travel and living expenses.

The 2019 schedule has now been published, and applications for the first round of 2019 are now open, with a deadline of Wednesday, 3 April.
